National health systems carry a specific kind of digital burden. A single fund often oversees insurance eligibility for millions of citizens, procures medicines and equipment for public hospitals and clinics, adjudicates claims, and manages the flow of money among ministries, providers, and suppliers. Every piece of that has its own rules, its own data model, and its own tolerance for error.
Our engagements in the sector center on one such institution: a national health insurance fund whose platform runs eligibility, spend, procurement, and stakeholder integration across the health system. The work began with an ICT strategy and software architecture assessment. From there, twenty successful projects were delivered over a two-year PMO engagement, replacing an outdated ERP and fragmented systems with a unified platform. New modules were built for e-invoicing, a finance portal, and SAP integration. Ministries, medical institutions, and suppliers were connected through unified APIs. Beyond that fund, we have supported clinical institutions with document management and workflow platforms, extending the same discipline to hospital operations.
The platform has been live for over three years and operates almost entirely paperless. When health-system software is built to be owned by the institution, it works as long as the mandate does.
